House Approves Plan To Boost Horse Racing Profits « CBS Detroit

LANSING, Mich. (AP) – The Michigan House has approved legislation designed to help the state’s $1 billion horse racing industry which has suffered through years of slumping profits.

Republican bill sponsor Sen. David Robertson says the two bills that passed 104-4 on Tuesday update the way money is distributed at horse racing tracks and create a seven-member horse racing commission.
